It was more than 30 years ago that Frank Riordan opened the doors of The Copy Store at 53 Court Street in Downtown Buffalo. It was 1982 and his business focused on selling office copiers to small and mediums sized businesses. During the course of selling copiers, Frank found that many of his sales prospects were more interested in purchasing the copies Frank’s machines could make than purchasing the machines themselves. Soon, Frank saw the potential in the emerging need for digital copies and The Copy Store evolved into the business model of providing digital print and copy services.
The Copy Store started and today remains a family Business of the Riordan family. Brothers Fran and Chris Riordan started working along side their father when they were in high school and through their college years. In 2003, Fran and Chris purchased the business from their father.
"It was a perfect opportunity for Chris and I to build on the foundation our father had laid for us through years of hard work."
Always keeping a focus on quality and customer service, Fran and Chris built The Copy Store business and in 2006 moved to a larger space at 49 Court Street. They also have increased the production capacity and improved the technology by continuously upgrading equipment and software.
The brothers’ recipe for success includes an unshakeable focus on customer service and quality workmanship. To do that, they are assisted by skilled employees and create a fun and energetic place to work where imagination, innovation and creativity are valued skills.
"We've grown our staff, technology and capabilities to match our customers’ growing needs and it reflects in our final product"
Looking ahead, The Copy Store will continue to invest in new technology and offer new products and services designed to meet the needs of customers.
